When Republicans wanted out of Afghanistan.

Remember one year ago when republicans wanted to end the wars and come home? Well, this week they changed their mind.

In order to drum up as much controversy over the military’s insane decision to withdraw to a vulnerable decision (and abandon other bases and equipment without warning or sabotage), republicans (cotton, gaetz, et al.) are now siding with corrupt generals (primarily Milley). In this week’s hearings, they elicited testimony from the joint chiefs that the White House ignored “sound” military advice.

You see, Republicans now believe Milley is a hero who gives sound advice, and was ignored by the evil president Biden.

Republicans should have spent more time slamming both the pentagon and the White House. Focusing on Biden does nothing. The American public knows where they stand on this issue. They are already furious. Biden’s ratings are in the tank. There is no point in beating a dead horse.

Republicans, who are incapable of strategic thinking, are now playing softball with the pentagon. You know, the ones who mismanaged two wars, lied to Congress and the public, and punished subordinates who questioned them. All so they can get clips for their next campaign. After these hearings they won’t do anything.

The military is not a friend of freedom, the constitution, or the people of this nation. If it were they wouldn’t lie to minors in order to secure enlistments. If it were they wouldn’t lie to the public about their operations and the results they produce. If it were they wouldn’t tolerate corrupt contractors.

Who are the real strategic morons: liberal, cowardly generals or republicans with no foresight?

“What, sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty. …Whenever Governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.”
